Acting against extreme social marginalisation

For 30 years, RATP’s Social Support Unit has been dedicated to helping the most vulnerable, providing assistance and aid. Approximately 60 volunteers from RATP’s internal security services work tirelessly across the network, both day and night, throughout the year.

Their main mission

To reach out to homeless individuals across the RATP network, establishing a connection in an atmosphere of trust and respect for each person’s dignity. The goal is to encourage them, if they wish, to accept help and guidance towards our partner organisations that can meet their needs. This ensures that, whenever possible, they are not forced to leave RATP spaces without any other viable option.
This mission, reflecting RATP Group’s pledge to combat extreme exclusion, is made possible through the dedication of the ‘Recueil Unit’ (Social Support Unit), a team dedicated to supporting the vulnerable, in partnership with our 5,000 station staff and social organisations like Samusocial, Emmaüs, Aurore, La Mie de Pain, and Agir Pour la Santé des Femmes (ADSF)…

Each day:

70

stations covered across the network

160

outreach contacts

50

individuals guided towards day care centres.
