Gautier Brodeo elected President of UITP

Gautier Brodeo, Director of the Operational Development Agency and Operations & Maintenance Engineering at RATP Group, was officially elected President of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) at the organisation's General Assembly on 23 June 2026.

The International Association of Public Transport (UITP) is the world's largest public transport association, bringing together more than 2,000 stakeholders, including transport authorities, operators, manufacturers, research centres, and industry experts. Its mission is to share best practices, exchange knowledge, and advance sustainable urban mobility.

This election is both an honour and a recognition of French expertise in the field of sustainable mobility. It also carries particular significance, as no French national has held this position since Jean-Paul Bailly, former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of RATP, was elected President of UITP in 1997.

As mobility systems undergo profound transformation, public transport plays a vital role in addressing environmental, urban, social, and societal challenges. At a time when the ecological transition, industrial sovereignty, technological innovation, infrastructure funding, and the attractiveness of public transport are at the heart of public policy, UITP provides a recognised platform for influencing public and private sector decision-makers around the world.
