Improving Air Quality in Underground Railway Spaces

Dowload the press kit
Air quality within underground railway facilities is a priority for the RATP Group, both for the millions of passengers and its thousands of employees.

The challenge of air quality within underground railway facilities (EFS) is a shared concern among metro operators in cities around the world. Air pollution in these spaces is linked to railway activity itself, which is a source of particles, as well as the introduction of pollutants from the outside air.

For over 25 years, RATP has been working in collaboration with Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM), ANSES, Ineris, and Airparif to actively monitor and provide expertise on the air quality circulating within the underground network.
