The RATP group becomes the official supporter of the 2023 Rugby World Cup

The RATP Group is very proud to join, as an Official Supporter, the 2023 Rugby World Cup, which will take place in France from September 8th to October 28th.

A strong and shared commitment to promoting rugby within the spaces of the Group.

Since 2005, the RATP Group has been accompanying French rugby, notably as the official transporter of the French men’s rugby team.

Throughout the preparation phase for the 2023 Rugby World Cup in July and August, the RATP Group will ensure the transportation of the men’s French team by providing two high-end branded coaches, a support car, and four drivers.

Additionally, Origami, a subsidiary of RATP Cap Île-de-France, is the transporter for the Mêlée des Chœurs, the initiative allowing thousands of young people to perform the national anthems at the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.

Through its commitment, the company will contribute to promoting this global sporting event during the 51 days of competition. Supporters from around the world will use the network operated by RATP, on behalf of Île-de-France Mobilités, to travel to the Stade de France, where 10 Rugby World Cup France 2023 matches will be held, as well as to the Rugby Villages set up at Place de la Concorde (Paris) and in Saint-Denis.

Animations organized for our travelers and supporters.

The Group thus continues its goal of making sports a means of sharing with its travelers through numerous animations on the network leading up to and during this major sporting event:

  • The Rugby Park RATP will be back at the RER Auber station (RER A) with numerous activities around a giant rugby field (rugby initiation, photo booth, etc.) from September 5th to 8th, 2023, for the competition launch.
  • An exhibition showcasing highlights from the last nine Rugby World Cups will be displayed on the platforms of the RER at Nation (RER A) and at the Saint-Denis Porte de Paris station (L13).
  • And of course, there will be “pre-match” activities at both stations – Saint-Denis Porte de Paris (L13) and Front Populaire (L12) – which serve the Stade de France, including face painting workshops for supporters of the competing teams.

“We are very proud to become an Official Supporter of the 2023 Rugby World Cup. The values transmitted by sport, especially team sports, are in total harmony with those we uphold within the RATP Group: respect and teamwork. This partnership also confirms our long-standing commitment to supporting French sports and major sporting events. We will stand by our travelers and athletes to make this competition a memorable moment of sharing.”

Jean Castex,

President and CEO of the RATP Group
