RATP Group becomes an Official Supporter of the 2023 Rugby World Cup

RATP Group is very proud to take part in the 2023 Rugby World Cup as an Official Supporter. The event will take place in France from 8 September to 28 October 2023.

A strong shared commitment that entails promoting rugby in stations operated by the Group

Since 2005, RATP Group has supported rugby in France, notably as the official carrier of the French national men’s rugby team.

During the preparation of the 2023 Rugby World Cup in July and August, RATP Group will be in charge of transport for the French national men’s team by making two high-end livery-covered coaches, a leading car and four drivers available.

In addition, the RATP Cap Île-de-France subsidiary Origami is the official carrier of the Mêlée des Chœurs operation that will provide thousands of young people singing national anthems during the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Through its commitment, the company will contribute to promoting this global sporting event throughout the 51-day competition. Fans from all over the world will use the network operated by RATP for Île-de-France Mobilités to go to Stade de France, where ten of the 2023 Rugby World Cup games will take place, to Villages Rugby in Place de la Concorde (Paris) and to Saint-Denis.

Activities planned for our passengers and rugby fans

The Group is pursuing its aim of interacting with its passengers through sports by organising numerous events across its network before and during this major sporting event:

  • The RATP Rugby Park took place at Auber RER station (RER line A), including many activities organised around a giant rugby field (introduction to rugby, photocall screen, and more) from 5 to 8 September 2023 to celebrate the launch of the competition, and from 24 to 27 October 2023 to celebrate the last sprint to the final game, hosted at Stade de France;
  • A space dedicated to XV de France (the French national team) and their fans will open in July at Nation station (RER line A) and at Saint-Denis – Porte de Paris station (metro line 13), featuring a photo exhibition of XV de France highlights during the Rugby World Cup, a photocall screen, and much more;
  • Pre-game activities will be held at the two stations that serve the Stade de France venue (Saint-Denis – Porte de Paris station on metro line 13 and Front Populaire station on metro line 12), including face-painting workshops for fans of the teams in the running.

We are very proud to become an Official Supporter of the 2023 Rugby World Cup. The values conveyed by sports, and notably team sports, are fully in line with the those we represent at RATP Group: respect and teamwork. This partnership also confirms our long-standing commitment to support French sports and major sporting events. We will be by our passengers’ and athletes’ side to turn this competition into an unforgettable shared experience.
