Achieving this major certification in the field of quality and management excellence, which is awarded by the EFQM and AFNOR, comes with global recognition. Arriving at such a prestigious level of recognition in an unprecedented area such as that of metro line 14’s transformation (3 extensions in 4 years) is an outstanding performance. It confirms the high value of the exemplary practices that have been in place on the line for several years, to the benefit of all stakeholders. Our staff’s pioneering spirit and their taste for challenges underscore these transformation projects, which are remarkable in scale, employee mobilisation and best practice improvement. Stakeholders, including Île-de-France Mobilités, have contributed to these changes and their feedback has confirmed our role in showcasing our expertise to assessment authorities. Metro line 14 has become a true testbed for the future of mass transit in the Île-de-France region. It will also play a key role in hosting the 2024 Olympic Games. About metro line 14 Metro line 14 was the first high-capacity metro line in the world to be fully automated. It is the backbone of the future Grand Paris Express network. The line was commissioned in 1998 and has been extended three times. By mid-2024, it will connect Orly airport to Saint-Denis-Pleyel in only 40 minutes. In total, the line will comprise 21 stations, approximately 30 kilometres and connect with the Grand Paris Express network’s metro lines 15, 16, 17 and 18. Metro line 14 currently averages 650,000 passengers per day. It is equipped with 8-coach trains and will be able to carry one million passengers daily in 2024. In 2024, it is set to be twice as long, twice as busy and will operate a renewed fleet of 8-coach trains. The automated line is renewing its operating system. With metro line 14, passengers will be able to arrive in the dense city centre from the airport in just 20 minutes.
